Welcome to Nevill Holt Opera

Nevill Holt Opera operates a creative education programme, devised in partnership with music, design and theatre teachers. We are grateful to the support of the David Ross Foundation, the Garfield Weston Foundation, and all of our sponsors and supporters for making this work possible.

To date, this programme has reached over 1000 children in the local area around Nevill Holt, providing workshop opportunities, as well as dress rehearsal tickets for the children to attend a performance at NHO.

In addition to this, our children’s chorus for the 2014 production of Puccini's La Bohème and 2015 performance of Bizet's Carmen was made up entirely of students from Malcolm Arnold Academy, Northampton. For many of these children, NHO was their first experience of classical music, and a stunning introduction.

The Nevill Holt Festival educational programme is supported by the David Ross Foundation, whose mandate is to broaden young people's horizons by offering educational opportunities and experiences. Nevill Holt Opera works closely with the David Ross Education Trust, supporting musical experiences and learning in over 35 Academies across the East Midlands.
